Joe Pleffner
Joe Pleffner serves as Global Head of Wholesale Market Making (WMM) for GTS Securities, primarily focusing on trading, risk management, and sales. With his leadership and vast network of client relationships, the GTS WMM business has quickly grown into an industry leader, providing innovative trading products to an array of broker-dealer clients. He is also responsible for the firm’s sales and trading efforts for digital assets.
Prior to joining GTS, Joe was Head of Client Market Making at Cantor Fitzgerald. Before that, he worked at Knight Capital Group (KCG) for nearly 20 years, serving as both Managing Director of Trading Support and Head of Cash Trading, where he was involved in every aspect of the Cash Trading business strategy, from leading trading staff to identifying new growth opportunities and ensuring client retention and satisfaction.
Over his 25+ year career in execution services, Joe has developed a seasoned perspective on market structure best practices, client relationship management, and regulatory and operational awareness.
Joe graduated from Hofstra University with a bachelor’s degree in economics.
